Private Cloud

Your company’s cloud – secure and cost-efficient

Advantages of having your own cloud

Those who don't move with the times will be left behind.

Do you know any company that still works exclusively with typewriters? Not surprisingly, the computer offers so many advantages that it would be insane to say: "We've always worked with typewriters, keep that modern stuff away from me." The "We've always done it this way" mindset would have been a guaranteed path to downfall.

Well, here's the good and the bad news today: we are at such a point again.

If you explore the possibilities that the cloud offers your company today, you will want to take this step on your own – and emphatically so.

The cloud and the virtualization it enables offer unprecedented productivity benefits while significantly reducing costs. You will be able to use competitive advantages that your competitors have not even discovered yet.
We are happy to advise you personally and help you implement your requirements efficiently and cost-effectively.

What is a company or private cloud?

First of all, a cloud is a network of several or many computers. A special management software combines the resources of all connected computers and provides us with the entirety as a powerful cluster.

Various servers can now be installed on this cluster, including firewalls and load balancers. Then, the software you use can be installed, just as you know it.

Access rights to individual servers and/or services can be managed individually. A cloud is therefore secure and still usable from anywhere in the world. This allows, for example, home office workplaces, but more importantly:

Since all your data is virtualized, you can automate processes ... to an extent that previously seemed impossible.

On top of that, you never have to worry about hardware again. You no longer need an IT service provider, and software updates are also unnecessary.

In short, a cloud greatly increases your productivity while reducing costs. Your employees will be freed from meaningless tasks, thus increasing their motivation.

Security in the private or company cloud

A company or private cloud provides computing services exclusively for authorized users over the internet or an internal network. Your services (i.e., programs) are run and accessed internally, and no one has external access.

This means you can do away with hardware in the future; we will take care of that for you. No more own servers, no more costs for an IT service provider to maintain the hardware, and no expensive software upgrades.

For example, your accounting department will be given access to the accounting programs in the cloud, while your sales department has access to sales programs. Everyone has access to exactly what they need. Nonetheless, the data exchange between departments works seamlessly, so the accounting department always knows when sales have generated new revenue.

Additionally, of course, you can use external services through hybrid cloud integration without compromising the security of your data. This expands your possibilities immensely.

The right location for your company cloud

is, of course, a data center. Theoretically, you could set up your cloud in your own premises somewhere ... but the costs for hardware and administrators make this only a theoretical possibility. In a data center, you always have trained staff on-site, including electricity, internet, and air conditioning.

If you also make sure the data center is powered by green energy and that you have direct access to the technicians, you are on the right track.

Fortunately, all these and more factors apply to Speedbone GmbH.

Scaling made easy

You don’t have to offer every service yourself. There are so many providers for various small tasks. With the hybrid cloud, you can use all these services without compromising the security of your sensitive data. The possibilities are almost limitless.

Imagine, for example, an AI provider who does one thing really well, and you’d like to make this part accessible to your customers in your environment. Now it’s possible.

Let that sink in for a moment: You can assemble your offering like a puzzle! You simply choose the right providers, and we’ll support you with the interfaces to them.

Private and public cloud in one

For business-critical and particularly sensitive data, you have your private cloud. If you only want to use services from a public cloud, the hybrid cloud is created. For example, sensitive data is kept internally and particularly secured in the private cloud, but calculations for certain purposes take place externally with a third-party provider – without revealing sensitive customer data.

A clear separation of services and data storage is the foundation for seamlessly merging these services.

This way, business-critical data remains protected, while you can still take advantage of third-party providers, cost-effectively expanding your product and service portfolio.

So, if you want to offer your customers the capabilities of ChatGPT in your environment, you can simply take the customer’s text input, send it via API or another interface to ChatGPT, and present the response in your environment on your website.

In this hypothetical example, ChatGPT only receives the customer’s text input via a secure interface, but no other data. This use of your private cloud in conjunction with an external provider outside your secure cloud is the definition of hybrid cloud. Growing possibilities every day, limited only by your imagination.

If you have questions about integrating an external service provider, we can certainly help with the implementation.
